As we bid farewell to the year, let's traverse the highlights of these events, showcasing the evolution of the mobile games industry.
Barcelona
The year kicked off in the vibrant city of Barcelona for our biggest event in the calendar, where Gamesforum laid the foundation for a year of knowledge sharing and networking. Professionals from across the disciplines of UA and Ad Monetization converged to discuss the industry's future. Barcelona set the stage where an array of impassioned speakers would divulge in top-tier knowledge, imparting how developers, publishers and other mobile games industry professionals alike
Hamburg
Hamburg played host to Gamesforum's second event in Germany, creating a unique platform for over 250 attendees to delve into brilliant content. With Day 1 focused on UA and Day 2 on Ad Monetization, the event addressed the dynamic needs of the industry. A standout event for Europe, it boasted a diverse audience, including 34% managers and 160 developers and publishers.
Day 1 commenced with the renowned Unfiltered panel, featuring industry pioneers like Peggy Anne Salz, Jonathan Winters, Oksana Vengrovska, Jochen Gary, and Parv Bhargava. This panel, known for its raw and authentic insights, set the tone for the event. Top-tier sponsors, including Cloudflare, contributed thoughtful talks, and Admiral Media's Antonio Matamoros Gómez discussed SKAN 4.0, reshaping marketing in the mobile games industry.
Day 2 scrutinised the ever-evolving realm of AdMonetization, emphasising the balance between revenue generation and user experience. Industry experts explored topics from in-game audio ads to video vs playable creatives and the importance of brand partnerships.

London and North America
Gamesforum continued to evolve, with events in London and North America. The Laser Series event in London focused on AdMonetization in free-to-play titles, featuring the renowned Unfiltered panel. The discussions explored challenges in emerging payment technologies, in-game audio ads, and a forward look into 2024.

In North America, the beautiful city of Seattle hosted Gamesforum's return. Industry heavyweights engaged in candid discussions, covering four tracks: User Acquisition, Ad Monetization, Organic Growth, and Product Development. Valuable insights were shared, ranging from offerwall campaigns to the challenges of international in-app purchase pricing.
The event featured diverse topics, including redefining brand narratives, exploring the power of mobile gaming for all app publishers, and transitioning games into the Web3 space. Panels on creative strategies, the future of Ad Monetization, and industry leaders navigating the crossroads of mobile and console product management rounded off the event.
With Gamesforum North America 2023, valuable knowledge from experts across the mobile games space was gained, setting the stage for a new year of events and insights.
