Monika Raszowska on UA: Gamelight, Gamesforum Barcelona & WFH
- So Monika, tell us a bit about yourself! Who are you and what do you do?
- I’m Monika, a Business Development Manager at Gamelight. I live in Edinburgh and apart from my professional passion for growing businesses, building connections, and networking, I love travelling, fashion, basketball, and sunny days. So perhaps Scotland might not be the best place for me haha.
- Are you an AM or a PM person?
- To be honest a bit of both haha. It depends on my schedule but I definitely feel better when I go to bed not so late.
- What tips do you have from your experience working remotely?
- Working 100% remotely can be a dream come true to some but a nightmare to others. I find it important to exercise in the morning or at least stretch/ do some yoga as it puts me in the right energy for the day. I also plan my week ahead on a Sunday and then a day before each day I double-check my schedule. I try to take regular breaks and finish work on time rather than always staying late to avoid sacrificing my personal life with work. (Not always the case but I try haha)
- What are your go to games at the moment?
- To be honest I don’t have much time to play games these days but my fav ones are Homescapes, Gardenscapes, Wordscapes, Two Dots, Chess, Nonogram.com & Cross Logic.
- A song plays every time you walk into a room. What song would you choose and why?
- Bésame by Play-N-skillz, Daddy Yankee, Zion & Lennox. I just love the vibe and it makes me happy and ready to dance every time.
- How did you start working in mobile gaming?
- Working at Gamelight is actually my first job in gaming. The gaming community is proving to be a bunch of amazing people and I cannot wait for more networking opportunities
- Can you share a bit more about Gamelight and your game recommendation platform?
- Gamelight is a Hamburg-based app publisher. We have a mobile game-discovery platform where we recommend various games to our users. For partners, it is a direct in-app UA source with 100% gamers traffic. Main USPs are:
- Age & gender targeting
- Competitor game targeting
- Self-serve dashboard on a CPI basis (More detailed info can be accessed here: gamelight.io)
9. Thanks for joining us at Gamesforum Barcelona last month! What was your highlight from the event?
- Many on-topic panel talks that I could learn from. Meeting with some old friends and making so many new ones!
- We had some great panels and presentation in Barcelona, can you pick a favourite?
- Hmm if I am to pick one, then the unfiltered panel on UA day was one of my favourites.
