  1. Hey Kevin, tell us a bit about yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

I am the B2B Marketing Lead at Admiral Media. Previously, I have worked with performance marketing for the last 7 years, mainly focused on Paid Social for national and global brands. I am passionate about TikTok and growing clients through this dynamic channel.

  1. Are you a morning or an evening person?

I am more of a morning person, like waking up early and starting my day. The early bird gets the worm, as they say!

  1. What is your go to game at the moment?

Currently, my go-to game is "FIFA," a well-known sports game.

  1. A song plays every time you walk into a room. What song would you choose and why?

If a song played every time I walked into a room, I would choose "Losing It" by Fisher.

It's an upbeat and going song that pumps me up and gets me ready to take on any challenge.

  1. As someone who has a large following on Instagram and Tiktok, what advice would you have for anyone looking to start a social media profile?

My advice for anyone looking to start a social media profile would be to identify your niche, create high-quality content, engage with your audience, and be consistent in your posting schedule. It's a very long process and should be seen from a long-term perspective. You are building a community and brand asset. Listen to the community you are building.

  1. How did you start working in mobile marketing?

I started working in mobile marketing not too long ago actually. I came from a "web marketing" world, so in the beginning, everything related to SKAN, measurement and app tracking was quite new to me. Thankfully, the team at Admiral Media are some of the best, so I learnt after some time. Good things take time, right?

  1. What differences in demands do you see when it comes to mobile gaming vs wider app space when it comes to your work with Admiral Media?

When it comes to mobile gaming vs. the wider app space, I see different demands in terms of user engagement, monetization strategies, and ad formats. Monetization strategies are also different, as mobile gaming apps often rely on in-app purchases / ad monetization, while other apps may rely more subscription. Their funnels are significantly different, which ultimately falls back to how we structure campaigns and optimize them.

  1. We have had Web3 and Crypto, VR and AR, what do you think is the next big trend in gaming?

Well, I hear rumors about Apple working on their AR-glasses, which I'm excited about. In terms of the next big trend in gaming, I think we'll see continued growth in the mobile gaming market, as well as an increased focus on social gaming and cloud gaming.

  • "TikTok loves gaming, and gamers love TikTok" Creatives are key. Iterate and replace your creatives frequently.
  • Leverage Spark Ads in your TikTok ads setup.
  • Collaborate with content creators, and help them build a great storyline. Think marketing fundamentals, always!

My highlight from GamesForum Barcelona was meeting and networking with other professionals in the gaming industry. It was great to hear their insights and perspectives on the latest trends and challenges in the industry.
