  1. Hi Raka! Introduce yourself, who are you, and what you do.

Hi guys, I am Ramiz. 33-year-old performance marketing expert, father, biker, and gaming enthusiast.  I live in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and I love pizza.  Privately I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and in my free time I enjoy playing and streaming games (Counter Strike 2 most of the time).

      2. Talk to us about your career in gaming so far!

I joined the Performance Marketing industry 8 years ago and I had a chance to work with clients like Nestle, Unilever, Actavis, etc. After that, I joined the Mobile Gaming industry at Two Desperados 5 years ago where I had a chance to manage multimillion-dollar budget campaigns on the biggest UA networks like Google, Facebook, Applovin, ironSource, Moloco, etc. Within those 5 years, I've achieved profitable scale for both games x5 times, becoming the Marble Shooter category leader, successfully opening the APAC market, and developing a soft launch strategy for a new game in a new genre. In July 2023 I joined GameBiz consulting as Head of UA to help gaming studios with all UA challenges.

     3. Congratulations on the role with GameBiz! Talk to us a bit more about what led you to join.

I was really lucky to get a call from Nikola to join GameBiz since I admired them earlier and this happened at the right time for my career. They are a small team with huge experience and great personalities. I guess it was a destiny call. Very excited to work with them and so far I’m very happy with my career journey.

      4. I am curious to hear how you are finding working with a variety of advertisers across different titles and genres. Can you share a bit with us?

Sometimes is challenging, sometimes is hard, and sometimes is pure joy. For me, it’s great to have the opportunity to work on various titles, bigger or smaller. From everyone, I learned something new and I am very happy when I can provide value to our clients and manage to scale their UA effort through the roof.

      5. How are you partnering with advertisers to ensure maximum revenue is achieved through UA?

Data, data, and data. That is the crucial part. We need to know the current position where are we and how to move forward. We usually do comprehensive Audit for our clients first to learn about game and previous UA efforts, then we investigate market positioning and competitor research. When we have all answers on the spot we are ready to provide crucial value and improve UA efforts for our clients.

      6. Big question! Can you condense and share with us your top 5 tips for UA in mobile gaming?

Hmm, let me try:

  • Set clear expectations and goals
  • Unlock potential on one market first then scale forward
  • Test as many creatives as you can develop
  • Stay updated and try to learn new stuff every day about your UA channels
  • Collaborate with product teams

      7. What can our attendees expect to hear from your presentation at Gamesforum Barcelona?

In the Gameforum Barcelona presentation, we'll explore the pivotal role of creative advertising in user acquisition for mobile games, discussing the evolution from simple banners to sophisticated, data-driven campaigns tailored to game genres and user behavior. We'll delve into A/B testing, and the balance of brand identity within performance marketing, while also addressing ethical considerations and future trends in mobile game advertising.

      8. Final questions, you are stuck on a desert island with one song and one book, what book and song are you taking?

I would take some Arthur Conan Doyle books about Sherlock Holmes since I’m a fan (usually I don’t read that many books mostly educational ones like Atomic Habits or $100m offers most recently), and a song for me on Desert Island should be something from movies  let’s say Hanz Zimmer - Interstellar (main theme).
