GAMESFORUM HEADED TO SUNNY BARCELONA FOR AN AD MONETIZTION DAY TO REMEMBER

For many it was their first conference since the pandemic began whilst for others it was a chance to make new connections as part of their busy start to 2022. For all it was a blast!

It was our great pleasure to host the sold-out Gamesforum Barcelona Laser series event last Thursday, Febuary 10th, at the beautiful Novotel Barcelona City hotel. 120 Ad Monetization managers, experts and partners brought together by a shared desire to learn, share ideas and catch-up with colleagues from across the global mobile games industy - from California to Catalonia, from London to Lisbon and beyond.

Here's a few highlights from last weeks conference:

BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM TARGETSPOT AND AdInMo

During his presentation at last week’s Gamesforum Barcelona event, Adam Pattison, UK Country Director of Targetspot announced the launch of Targetplay, the new Gaming, In-App and innovation division within Targetspot.

Targetplay is dedicated to building upon and growing the gaming and in-app advertising category within audio advertising. It will do this by maintaining and establishing partnerships with existing vendors like Audiomob, Odeeo and Aequus while investigating and building propriety technology where, and if, appropriate.

Meanwhile during The Gamesforum Ad Monetization Panel featuring expert speakers Noelia Lopez from Tilting Point, Felix Braberg from N3twork and Olga Zhakova from Zeptolab, AdInMo CEO, Kristan Rivers announced thatAdInMo have partnered with NumberEight to drive privacy-first personalization for in-game advertising.

BRILLIANT TALKS AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING PANELS

As is tradition we opened the day with the Gamesforum Unfiltered Panel. For those of you who don't know, there's one rule, everything Unfiltered! Stef Adamcyk from Admix joined Enric Cabestany from FunPlus and Alex Noirot-Cosson to share their uncensored opinions on everything from Web3 and NFTs, through M&A, privacy and more. We'd love to share more but it's against the rules!

In the morning sessions we heard talks on rethinking your mediation stack with Martin Macmillan, CEO of Pollen VC, next best action frameworks for cross promotion with Ted Verani from wappier,or seizing the moment in the Asian Market with Jason Parma from Pangle, our expect thought leaders provided leading content sure to shape ad monetization over the coming months. I then had the pleasure of interviewing Peter Jacobs from Livewire as he gave us the rundown on how brands think about advertising in mobile game - don't be afraid to work with your brand partner!

The Future of Ad Monetization Panel

Post lunch, Emilien Eychenne and Alex Noirot-Cosson had the audience hooked discussing Social Point's post-ATT marketing strategy before we closed the day looking to the future as we joined the Future of Ad Monetization panel with Sofia Gilyazova from TakeTwo Mobile, Marc Bearman from oolo, Amit Monheit from Odeeo and Vincent Fevrier from TapNation talkgin audio, emerging trends and the future of the ad monetizion role itself.

EPIC LUNCH AND ROOFTOP NETWORKING

Networking is always a highlight at Gamesforum., attendees know that everyone is relevant and eager to share their wisdom and experience. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch of local specialities from a menu prepared by our sponsors Vungle before we rounded of the day with our end of conference drinks sponsored by Pangle taking place on the rooftop lounge of the Novotel Hotel with stunning views across Barcelona
