Hi Orhan, tell us a bit about yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

Hi Josh! I'm from Istanbul and moved to Hamburg last year. I'd been to several other cities in Germany for vacation before moving, but it was my first time in Hamburg when I moved here. I did the same when I moved to Bergamo before, it was my first time in Italy and I had an amazing two years during my Master's degree. Now I enjoy life in Hamburg and my work at justDice in the UA team. We have an international team at justDice and it's so much fun to work with them as well as hang out outside of work. Prior to that, I worked for a UA agency called ShyftUp where I jumped into mobile marketing.

Are you a morning or an evening person?

I’m definitely a morning person, although I feel much more productive after having my first cup of coffee!

What is your go to game at the moment?

I’m not a gamer myself actually, although I really enjoy working in the gaming industry.

You can only play one game for the rest of your life, what game are you playing?

It's been a long time since I played it the last time but "Bully" would be the game I choose.

A song plays every time you walk into a room. What song would you choose and why?

“Heaven and Hell” by Black Sabbath would be the song I choose to have it played each time I enter the room. It has an amazing intro.

How did you start working in mobile gaming?

We were working with non-gaming apps when I was at ShyftUp, and I had a great chance to work with apps like Evernote, VSCO, and Square. However, I  wanted to build my gaming industry experience, and justDice is an excellent place because we have more than 20 live products, and it includes games and honest play-and-earn apps.

We have had Web3 and Crypto, VR and AR, what do you think is the next big trend in gaming?

I’m very excited to see how AI will shape mobile gaming. Tailoring a game experience specific to each mobile user can be a “game-changer”, literally.

As one of our expert speakers at Gamesforum Hamburg, what can our attendees expect to hear from you?

We’ll discuss some of the challenges in UA for Play & Earn apps and share insights. We want it to be fun and engaging while giving our audience something to think about.

Finally, the important question for our Gamesforum Hamburg delegates, what cafes, bars and restaurants would you recommend in Hamburg?

Frau Möller is an excellent pub around the Hauptbahnhof (central train station) area. It is also very close to our office; come to say hi if you’re around. Also, Jill has delicious Neapolitan pizza, and you can enjoy Turkish cuisine at Pamukkale. Hamburg has also many nightlife offerings, from rock bars to techno clubs! Head to either Reeperbahn or Sternschanze. I would recommend you to have a cocktail at Pallas. If you feel like partying in an old bunker, you can go to Uebel & Gefährlich as well 😊
