By Gamesforum Staff 3 May 2024

This week, we welcomed Nisha, our new Marketing Executive, to the team!

Q: Hey Nisha, thanks for joining us and welcome to the team! Can you briefly introduce yourself?

Nisha: Thanks, I’m really excited to be here! I was previously a marketing executive at a B2C events company, and my academic background is in English Literature.

Q: Talk to us about your marketing expertise, what can our audience expect from you on our socials and website?

Nisha: Creatively engaging with audiences to connect them with a product I know they’ll love through digital marketing campaigns. Expect to see fun, crisp visuals on our socials paired with informative and fresh content on our website, which I’ll be collaborating with Mariam, our new Head of Content, on.

Q: What led you to join the team here at Gamesforum?

Nisha: Mobile gaming is a rapidly growing industry that is constantly evolving, so I was really interested when the opportunity opened to join Gamesforum. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team and contributing to the creation of these events in such an innovative space.

Q: What are you most excited about in joining the team?

Nisha: I’ve heard so much about the events, so I’m really looking forward to going to a Gamesforum and meeting everyone.

Q:  How important is creative flair in a successful marketing campaign?

Nisha: Creative flair very important in a marketing campaign. Even if you understand your target demographic well, your campaign will struggle if you're unable to meaningfully connect with them. With so many things competing for your attention every day, being able to carve out a distinctive presence and creatively engage with your audience makes your campaign memorable in an overcrowded space.

Q: Let’s talk about games! What are some of your favourite mobile games?

Nisha: I like anything cute, so an old favourite is Neko Atsume (a cat collecting game) and more recently I’ve been enjoying Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. I also used to love Pokemon Go (proud owner of a lucky Tyranitar and Dragonite).

Q: And outside of mobile, talk to us about some of your hobbies.

Nisha: I love cooking, especially experimenting with new flavours and recipes. I also love playing games (video and tabletop), crocheting, reading, drawing, and going to gigs.

Q: How good are you at Catan? Do you think you can dethrone John as Catan Champion?

Nisha: I’ve already made some devastating plays in our first game, so the dethroning is underway. Sheep for stone anyone?
